How can I be alerted if an employee has accepted a shift or has declined a shift. I find myself having to constantly check the event schedules to make sure there is coverage for my events or make sure no one has accepted then look later to find they have declined.

We do not have an alert for this, but you can go to Overview->Workers to see a quick snap-shot.
I will review this process to see what we can do to improve it as I don't think workers should be able to decline after they have accepted.
