Wind Alerts

This is a great idea to reduce our liability and provide safety precautions, however, our system is set to alert at 15mph winds and 20 mph gusts. Here is an example of alerts going out last week: Why alert when not close to threshhold and so many?

Also: when this event was supervised by our staff, shouldn't the alert go to him, not to the customer and not to our staff?

If you can give me a lead ID for what you pasted above, I can give you a better answer. I am guessing you are looking at the log. Did an alert actually go out? We log the data even if the alert doesn't go out. Currently you can set your alert to go to your company email (and other emails that you list) and/or to your customer. It doesn't currently look at your staff at the event and your delivery type to decide who to alert. Good idea though!

I did look at the log and I was not aware of any alerts going out, but wondered why the alerts would log into the customer contact if indeed they did not go to the customer because they were below the threshold for alerts. 5506521

Doesn't it make more sense to only log those which go out to the customer or to us? Or perhaps that requires a different filter which is more difficult to initiate.

We log the data as a record. Alerts only go out when thresholds are met. We believe it's good to know when the wind was low as well. If there is an issue regarding wind, you can produce the weather data showing good weather.

I had not thought of that! Thanks for thinking for me!
