Soft conflict causes invalid contract

When we have a soft conflict due to an item coming back and going back out quickly (lead 3581145), it causes the item to be red on the customer contract, and the customer gets the message:

"Please correct the following errors:

  • Your contract is no longer valid. Please contact us to book your event."

Is there a way to prevent this from showing up on the customer contract?

It looks like it is a conflict for all day on 07/19...the original lead you gave was for 2:45 pm to 6 pm and the conflict is lead # 3505897 which starts on 07/19 at 10 am and goes until 07/20 until 9 am

I don't show a conflict on 3505897. The reason being, we have two dunk tanks available for rent that day. So I think the soft conflict is between leads 3581145 and 3622401, which is going out the following morning. (We have our soft conflicts set to like 18 hours, so we know what needs to be inspected and turned around quickly). Anyway, my issue is that it messes with the customer contract, even though it's not a problem at all.

It looks like currently your "buffer time" between rentals going out is 36 hours on the database. This will cause soft conflicts in situations like this. It looks like the customer was still able to confirm the event, but they will get the error message on quotes that there may be a conflict. If you want to change this buffer time to a shorter period of time, just let us know.

We want the buffer time so that we get notifications about which items need to be turned around quickly, but I can't think of a reason why the customer needs to know about that; it just adds to their confusion. Is there any way to prevent a soft conflict from showing up on the customer's contract?

You can stop the customers from getting this error if you change this setting to "No":

Settings->Online quoting->Allow Customers to View Rental Availability (Quote Confirm)

Looks like that did it. Thanks!
