PayPal payments not updating contract

Hi!


Our most recent customers that have paid their deposits online via PayPal are not having the booking update with the payment being made.


We've manually added each payment to keep on-track and not ask for double-payment from them, but if you could please look into it and see if there is a bug somewhere, or if there are settings we would need to fix on our end.

The contract is a document that is created at the time of booking, and does not change as payments are made. It is not a live invoice that changes if payments are made. It's more like a legal document, a booking agreement, where you spell out the terms of the deal to the customer. I would recommend changing the wording of your contract to omit the payments made.


When the customer makes a payment, there is a receipt button they can click to view a total of payments made and balance due, and the payment tool on the left will show them if they owe a deposit or balance.

Thanks for the reply... but i must have mis-worded what the issue is.


After the customer signs the contract, the signature updates into the Contracts section on the Contract tab of the lead... but when they make a payment, it is not updating the payment made into the contract details section and the balance due remains unchanged .


Also since the payment doesn't update in the lead, the status stays as Contract Signed, and the lead doesn't move to Confirmed status

Paypayl payments can take up to 60 seconds to verify after the customer comes back to the contract page. After we verify the payment with paypal, then the payment details and the lead status should automatically update.

I get that it wouldn't update instantly, but the two leads referenced are from several days ago. Our PayPal account does show that the payment was made and has processed, but the leads never got updated with the payment from those transactions.


We've manually added each payment to reflect the amounts paid towards the balance due.

I'm going to assume this was just a temporary issue as I see paypal payments are working for other customers. Let me know if you see this happen again.
