Need PAID line on Contract

I have many customers who would like the actual contract itself have a PAID LINE on it. Once customers have paid their deposit, I have to explain to them to actual see the deposit is paid they have go down on the left side of the contract page and open RECEIPT. It would be so much easier if there was an actual line on the contract itself that told the customer how much they had paid rather than scrolling down to another line. Yesterday, we had a client pick up items to rent. They wanted a receipt so I scroll down to RECEIPT and printed a copy, but they also wanted a copy of the items they actually rented so I then printed the contract also. What a waste of paper! Is there way we can print the contract so the client can see everything on one page.
