Is there a way to email a specific group of customers at once?

I'm trying to see if I can email ONLY customers getting order this weekend.

It's going to be a delivery confirmation email with template variables such as "Delivery day" with deliver window...etc.

I just wanted to send it to customers getting deliveries from a certain time frame for example orders being deliver from 10/16/2015 0 10/18/2015.

Is there an easy way?

Or should a create the email and send individually to each customer?

The only way to do this through IO is to make a filter on the leads page that gets all the people you want to send to and save it. Then in Settings->Email Center, edit the Customer - Event Reminder email and select that filter, set the # days before event parameter to 1 or 0 since you are nearing the weekend, make it active, put your content in, and save. If you don't consider this easy, you'll have to manually do it.

Great that looks like it will work!

Thanks,

Will I have to create a new filter every week to email the upcoming weekend's jobs?

Or if I leave the email at "no filter" it will automatically email any upcoming event 1 day prior

and is the 1 day prior 24 hours before the event start time or the delivery window time?

Sometimes I deliver Saturday parties on Friday.

Correct, "no filter" would sent to everyone 24 hours before their Event Start Time. Having a new template for "Delivery Reminder" is a good idea. It should be fairly easy to do, so we'll likely add it soon, thanks to this suggestion.

The only other thing you could do in the meantime is create a new delivery type, "Early drop off." Also, a second "Customer - Event Reminder 2" email and filter it by Delivery Type:"Early drop off" and have it go out 48 hours in advance. Then have the original "Customer - Event Reminder" filtered by all the other Delivery Types and go out 24 hours in advance.

Great ideas.

It's amazing how much you can customize, fine tune and automate with IO!!

That's what we're going for! It takes time to set things up to be automated, but the idea is the more you invest time setting up your filters and whatnot, the less you need to do over and over again with customers.

Can I delete a lead filter once created and saved? If so, how?

Our next release (due tomorrow) will allow for this.
