I am not getting a text code from Google when I am trying to sync my Google voice number to IO. I am entering my correct email and email login.

I did just receive a verification code. But when I enter it is says it could not log into my google voice with the username I entered. The user name I entered, my gmail, is the correct username for my google voice account. Not sure what the deal is.

I had the two step verification turned off, but turned it on and received the code. However I don't think it is a code associated with my request through IO google voice sync request.

Check your Google voice account to make sure you know what "recovery" number it is texting with the code.

I did, I saw that in a previous knowledge question. It is correct. Google just sent me a message saying that I have a suspicious login attempt and wants me to change My passcode. I believe they think my IO attempt is that attempt and won't allow it. Not sure how to over ride it.

I am assuming this is IO system login in attempt it keeps blocking?

Yes. That's our server. You should not need to change your password. The verification code is what unblocks it. Let me look at it more closely.

Google says your recovery phone number ends in 01. Is that correct?

yes that is correct. It is still not working for some reason. I would really like to link it so that I can add it to the CRM module to keep track of sales person that we hope to hire this season. Wanted to test it out first. thanks for your assistance

I'll take a look at it. From time to time Google changes things that break it. This is always a tough one to figure out. I might not get it sorted out till next week. As an aside, we are working on some way better phone stuff that will be part of the CRM. Eventually I anticipate that Google will prevent us from accessing Google Voice altogether. They keep making it more difficult. Anyway, thanks for your patience!

Give it a try again. I think I got it fixed. Google made some changes just to mess with me. :)

Ok, just tried. It did issue me a verification code but it still saying I cannot log in with this username ryanflanderssr@gmail.com. That is my email associated with my google voice account though

Did you type in the verification code into IO once you got it? What did it say after you submitted the verification code to us?

I did type it in. It said I cannot log in with this username ryanflanderssr@gmail.com. but that is my email associated with it and I did enter it correctly and the password or it wouldn't have sent me the verification code.

I am not getting the Verification code from Google. I have checked my email/password combo also.

Google wants us to enter a captcha code. Can you login to your Google Voice account and see if you can disable that extra security? It's possible that they are making changes we can no longer program around.

the only thing I see under my google voice account in security is a filter for spam that can be turned off or on. It is currently off. I do not see extra security

Your case is different, RJ. We can schedule a screen share to see if we can get yours to work. It's possible with their recent changes that it may not be possible.

I have been getting this same error message as well. Google integration hasn't worked since January for me. I've tried everything I can find.

Google is making a lot of changes that will mean we are probably going to have to phase out Google Voice support.

It doesn't make sense that IO would still sync with google calendar but not google voice. I've turned extra security off and it is still not working. This is a very needed feature to be able to keep up with lead calls and such. Very important that this be corrected. I've reached out to google to see if they can provide any insight into how to fix.

It doesn't make sense to you because you don't understand how these things work. Google doesn't offer a way for us to login to Google Voice like they do Google Calendar. So, we have to load the pages and search through them and submit stuff. It's really difficult to do. Google is changing their security and login stuff to prevent those things. They don't want other computers being able to login to user accounts like we have to do to integrate with Google Voice. So we are basically out of luck until Google provides an API like they do with Google Calendar.
