For some reason, one of our inventory items has 'changed' to another...

I think I've isolated a strange situation we've tried to figure out for over a month. We have a dunk tank, and a big splash as active inventory items. Over the last month, we've had customers complain about getting a big splash although they ordered a dunk tank. I thought it was just confusion but it happened for the 3rd time this week.

I am wondering if perhaps when we added the big splash to the system, the person who did it saved without saving as a copy. He doesnt remember and I wasn't there. Is there a way you can look @ the 'history' of a particular inventory item so we can figure this out? IF the"Big Splash" was once a dunk tank, we need to back-track to the date the change happened and check all the contracts created before that time.

An example lead is 472493. It shows Big Splash. The last time rentals were changed was BEFORE the contract was created. On the contract it shows Dunk Tank. Another lead: 520485. Contract created in April shows dunk tank, yet currently shows Big Splash. Unfortunately, your log isnt too detailed in regards to which rental items/quantities were updated so I cant pinpoint whether or not we manually changed it...but based on the customer's account, she didnt request it - so we wouldnt have done it.

Can you assist? If this item was once called the Dunk tank, I'm hoping to find out when it was changed so we can back-track orders. Thanks!

We do not at this time log changes to rentals, so I can't help you with when the change was made. My suggestion would be to use the lead filter to select all upcoming leads that are in higher statuses (not quotes) that use the big splash. Then click through and check contracts because they will say whether the dunk tank or big splash should be used. I have no other way to make this easier unfortunately.

I do see what is happening, but I haven't figured it out yet. I will keep looking at it.
