Distant charges not working

Todd M. shared this problem 9 years ago
Solved

I am having a problem with my distance charges. I have setup my Distant charges based on Restrict by total. I have setup charges as follows:

0 miles - $100

30 miles - $300

40 miles - $400

50 miles - $500

100 miles - $750

No matter what city gets entered in while filling out a quote to test. It tells me that I have not met the subtotal. "For our company to deliver to your area, your subtotal must be at least $100.00"

I have played around with this for hours and cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. If I restrict by None it gives me the correct subtotal so I dont know what is going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is a bug with the new quote pages. It is now fixed.

I just tried it again and I am still having the same problem. No matter what I choose it tells me that I have not met the subtotal. It also looks like the mileage is off also. If I put a city located 5 miles away it tells me that you have not met the $300 minimum. It should be within the $100 range. Thanks for all your help.

You're total settings aren't quite right for what you want. See below as an example

Total tab

This allows you to specify the amount you must receive in order to drive a certain distance. For example if you enter the following:

0 miles, $100

10 miles, $300

50 miles, $500

The system will enforce the following rules in order to give a quote:

- an event must be at least $100

- an event must be at least $300 and 10 miles or less

- an event must be at least $500 and 50 miles or less

Thats how I have mine setup unless I am missing something. What I was trying to say earlier is that when I pick a moonwalk that is $150 and only 4 miles away it tells me that I have not met a subtatoal of $300. No matter what I put in it tells me that I have not met the subtotal. Even if I put the city that I am located in while filling out an online quote it tells me that I have not met the $100 total. Is there any way you can try it on my quote page to see what I am talking about. You can use my zip code of 35661, pick any inflatable and then get quote and it will say that you have not met the subtotal. All of the inflatables are over $100 so it should give me a quote. Thanks again for your help.

You need to have it set as follows:

delete the 0 miles

30 miles = $100

40 miles =$300

etc

This will say that under 30 miles must be at least $100.

30-40 miles must be $300 etc

I just setup like you said and I still get the: For our company to deliver to your area, your subtotal must be at least $100.00.

The fix we applied earlier didn't get done correctly. I tested it and it works now. Try it again.

Sorry!

I did a couple tests and it seems to be working perfect now. I will do some more testing tonight. I really appreciate you fixing this for me.
