Create a new field for customer contact information?

When a customer chooses to contact us through a lead that is already established as a paid event/contract, it adds their text to the top of the event notes. Example: ID: 1310135

Instead of cluttering the Event Notes field that we use on the contract, might it make sense for there to be another field below that one called "Customer comments" or something to that effect? Or by default, have those added to the customer notes field instead?

Then, we could include that new field "customer comments" to the contracts and encourage customers to enter any delivery-day specific information they want the drivers to see...day-of phone numbers, special delivery instructions, questions etc. You guys could even take it so far as to flag the account when a customer comment is added.

Just an idea...

We have part of this already, but you'll have to modify your templates for it to function correctly.

"Event Notes (public)" will continue to be where the "Customer Comments" show up.

Go to settings->Optional Fields and turn on "Additional notes 1" You can name this as "Extra Event Contract Details" or something similar. This will be for things that you want added to the contract instead of how you were using "event notes" for this now. You'll replace the *eventnotes* variable in the template with * additionalnotes1*

That makes sense, thank you.
