Contract Variable Ideas

I would like to know if a "Subtotal or Total less discount" contract variable is available to used, if not then this would be a very nice idea for those who would want to their customers to see the effects of the discount that they would be receiving. With this new variable you can show a customer that the subtotal is for example $10,075.00 but they are given a discount of $1,000.00, the final total would result in $9,075.00 but the customer will be able to visually see the true effect of their discount. This is similar to using a coupon and the receipt showing the original cost and then next to it is the amount discounted from that item, but at the bottom of the receipt. The Total before the coupons is shown, then the total sum of the coupons under the original total, and finally the Total after the sum of the coupons.

Just to further this discussion, there is already a variable for balance which is "total less deposit".

this is very similar to the "new variable" total less discount".

You can do math with the variables inside curly brackets

${*quote_subtotal*+*discount*} would give you what you're looking for.
