Hey guys, I cant seem to get this to work properly. I have the variable on a contract and email, but it will only go up to 1. The code looks good and inventory setting are correctly set to # of volunteers needed.

My test might be flawed but it appears to me to be working fine. This is set on the contract tab of the lead. The lead you are testing my be recommending a different number than what's saved in the field.

Ok, I see this now. On the lead im using, there are 7 bouncers each setup with 1 required attendant. Why is the total still showing 1? Is there any variable for number of recommended volunteers? How does the system differentiate between required attendants and recommended?

There isn't a variable for the recommended one. We used to only recommend a number and you had to type in the amount of volunteer ever time. Now, It gets set when you initially save the lead to whatever the system recommends at that time. Adding more rentals won't update the field on the contract tab, unless you check the "recalculate" button on the event tab.

So the recommended volunteers will not change after the initial save, unless they are manually entered? (recalculating doesnt update it for me)

The recommended will always be whatever the settings say for those rentals. The field that you fill in is what gets set when you initially create the lead or "recalculate" the lead.

Found what is causing my issue:

Field will not update if you click: recalculate->update->save

It only works if you click: recalculate->save

That would explain why my test didn't work. This is actually a tricky scenario to try to get around because it's hard to tell if someone has intentionally changed the number to be certain way and doesn't want it changing automatically. We'll give this some more consideration.
