Can you require all fields for packages?

Our customers have been confused by the packages since day 1.
For our tent packages, we set the tent size and the table type; however, we let them choose their chair color. On almost every order that comes in, the chairs are missing. This isn't an IO issue, it's the customer not realizing they haven't selected chairs. This then gives them a high price because the package isn't invoked and they decide not to book.
Can we simplify this process in any way? Or can we throw an error when they go to book a package that says you haven't chosen a chair color yet? This would be a HUGE help for this coming season, a lot of our manual work is fixing these quotes.
