Blacking out dates

On a few occasions when I am try to black out a date with a large phony order, the lead will not save- it will just hang like its saving, but then reverts to the unsaved quote. Im assuming this is because it has too many items? For now I have worked around by adding a few items then saving, then adding more, etc.
The same problem
It is probably taking the system a while to save (as it checks for conflicts). It will revert back to the edit screen in case it's an internet connection problem so you can try to save again without loosing your changes. Either do as you suggested by adding a few at a time or just wait for 1 minute (even if it goes back to the edit screen) may give it enough time to save. We'll work on adding a more elegant solution for black-out dates.
