Adding Inventory for Future Date

As we order new inventory, we'd like to be able to send contracts to clients showing the stock availability of the date of their event. Will there be a way to add quantities to items starting on specific dates?

The only way to do this, would be to enter the "full" quantity you will have now, then enter a certain amount you don't have yet into Settings->Maintenance to make it out of stock for a certain time period.
