Real time indication of Unavailable Rentals for Customers

We have the setting set to 'Yes' to Allow Customers to View Rental Availability. As it is now, we currently get several quotes for customers who go through the inconvenient process of submitting a quote, finding out that their unit isn't available and then having to go back and guess at a different unit for the date of their event. If the second unit they selected isn't available, they have to go back and guess at the availability of another unit.


It would be great if, once the date/time of their event was entered, the quote form updated with an availability indication. This could either be done by greying out the check box of unavailable units (my suggested solution) or by turning the font red on those units, or by some other means.


This feature could be something that only effects owners that have that setting turned on.


I discussed this with someone from IO on the Moonwalk Forum and they mentioned that they would implement it in a release this Spring which is fantastic (and ultimately why we decided to sign up). I'm just listing the item here so that I can stay up to date on the progress.

Thanks for posting this one. I have been hoping for this for a long time. I too have had to watch as a customer gets quote after quote hoping to guess which ones are available. Super Excited for this one IO. Still an amazing product at a great price and this will make it even better. Keep up the good work.

Agree with all the posts. I am holding off turning on booking for customers for this to be resolved. Keep up the great work guys!

Hi Guys -


I'm just following up on this feature. When I was trialing IO back in February, someone on your team (Cody? Tim?) mentioned that this would be implemented and should be included sometime in the Spring. We're now at the end of spring and I'm curious when we might expect this. Unlike Bill, we do have the booking turned on because we believe it's important for many of our customers to be able to finalize a reservation immediately online. Yet we continue to have customers who submit 4 or 5 quotes while guessing at which units are available.

This is a big update to the software that includes many more things. It is taking longer than expected. We will have it out as soon as we can. It is a high priority for us.

Thanks, guys. Just yesterday I had another customer who submitted 8 (!) quotes, just to hopefully find a unit that is available for this weekend. For these customers, it must be frustrating to go through that process. Thanks for your efforts in implementing that change as soon as possible. If it ends up taking much longer, with the many other things your trying to tie in to the same update, I'd ask your consideration in possibly rolling out that one smaller change for the current quote form, prior to the big upcoming update.

Hi guys - I'm just touching base on this feature. I was planning to see this feature in the Spring based on your communication. We're now halfway through Summer and haven't seen it rolled out. Given that our communication back in February made clear that this was a critical factor in our deciding to use IO, I'd like to get an estimated date for rolling it out if we are to continue paying the monthly fee.

Is this part of the new update that was rolled out a few days ago? If so, will you please activate it on our account?

The released contained many of the "under the hood" adjustments that needed to be made in order for this feature to work. There's a couple bugs still in the customer interface portion that we're trying to iron out over the next couple week. We'll have to roll this out to our customers slowly, but we'll be in contact with you shortly to activate this feature on your account first.

Please include me in any pilot or user acceptance testing. I have been holding out for this feature prior to deploying customer booking, and have a QA site I can drop it on and do some testing. Thanks! bill (funflicksva)
