Actual Availability of Items on Lead Creation Page

I was wondering when creating a lead - the availability of the items you are able to select is not accurate for that day while creating a lead.

Lets say I have 20 chairs in total.

On Saturday 10 chairs already booked for an event.

When I create a new lead for Saturday the system still allows me to choose 20 chairs....

Then once I hit update or save...the system tells me I'm over booked by 10.

Then I have to subtract the number of chairs already booked manually for the system not to have a conflict on the rental.

Is there a way to show the actually quantity available for that date while creating the lead?

Thanks!

Ken

Right now the best way to do this would be to update and then it will give you the conflict. (If you click on conflict it will show the amount already reserved but not the amount available) But I will bring this idea up for a possible change.

Select the date first, then hit "update" before proceeding. At that point it will show you availability and conflicts in real time.

Hi,

Yes, I understand that. But you are not understanding my question.

If there is only 1 item available....it will still allow me to select all of those items in my inventory.

Lets I have 11 tables in my inventory...and 10 of them are already booked.......it will allow me to select ALL of them.... then once I hit update it will say there is an over booking. instead of showing just 1 in the drop down.

I wanted to know if the system will allow me to select only the AVAILABLE items for the date on the lead page.

not the entire inventory

Right now it doesn't show the available quantity...but we are putting in this request for review.

Ok, I get it now. I can see how that would make it easier, but without a setting to turn that on/off, it could also cause problems. For example, we may intentionally overbook chairs, knowing that we will either need to get more, or subcontract them through another company. If the dropdown didn't allow us to overbook, we would probably have to create additional inventory items, or find some other workaround.

Maybe they can figure something out where all 11 tables show up in your dropdown, but only 1 shows up as available, the others are red?
