Is there a way to sync any help desk software with IO? I see you guys are using UseResponse to run your business, we are using Freshdesk. It would be awesome if one of these could integrate with IO. It looks like the CRM module is about 90% of the way there, but it appears to work outside of, and separate from email.

I like this idea for our CRM module. Would you be willing to switch from freshdesk if we built the functionality you need into our WordPress integration?

Absolutely! That's why I posted this question.

If you check out the free Freshdesk account, that does everything I need. If it were synced with IO in order to connect tickets to leads, that would be amazing. I would add the CRM module to my account immediately if it included this functionality.

Of course the app is important as well. The Freshdesk app is really clean and simple, and I have a ton of control over the notifications I receive. I actually prefer handling emails in that app over any outlook app I've used. So much so that I'm considering upgrading to a paid account in order to send my personal emails to Freshdesk as well. I'm guessing that building all of that functionality into an app would be a major challenge, right?

So yes, I'd pay to add this to my IO account, as long as you can do a reasonable job of replicating the user experience I have right now.

If that's not enough of a challenge for you... How about adding a Live Chat feature while you're at it? Haha


Between a good live chat and help desk, I'm looking at $10-$50/month per user. With 4 users that's $40-$200/month just for those two features, and they don't connect to IO in any way. If you guys can get that figured out, and have them share info with IO, I'd much rather give my money to you.

I have no idea how APIs and integrations work... Is there a chance Freshdesk, or something similar, is able to be linked up and share info with IO?

That's possible. It looks like freshdesk has development tools, and we have an API, so there's a good chance a 3rd party developer could create a tool that pulls data out of freshdesk and updated a lead or a customer profile in IO using our API, but that isn't something we would be working on internally in the near future.
