We sent a newsletter to our database yesterday using the system with all "customer" types selected.

When added up, the number of those customers is 5500+

In the log showing the stats, it says only 4231 were sent but we do have around 200ish returned emails showing "mail delivery failed".

That still leaves an approximate 1000 discrepancy.

Do you know why that is?

When you look at your # of customers that way it can be very misleading because it doesn't take into account a few things...the number of duplicates, the number of customers that no longer have emails, or have old email, or the number of customers that have unsubscribed. When I pull up the number of customers alone on your account alone..I come up with 4,950. (difference here is for duplicate accounts which happens a lot over the years ) Then when I pull up unsubscribes...701. That makes a huge difference. Then when you take off a few for those that have old or no emails you see where the numbers are so far off!
